"Touchdown" in Ohio
On Thursday afternoon the 3rd & Goal Foundation was contacted by the Family Readiness and Warrior Support about a Veteran in need located in Philo, OH. By Thursday evening plans were already in place to be able to help this deserving veteran and by Saturday the construction for this "Touchdown" was complete.
Our Veteran shares, "I served 20 years in the US Army active duty /Ohio National Guard. I achieved my rank of E6-Staff Sergeant. I achieved numerous Army Achievement Medals/Army Accommodation Medals, 2 overseas tours, National Defense Ribbon, and 2 Ohio Accommodation Medals."
The Veteran and his wife were at an event supporting the military when they wrecked their motorcycle. They were coming out of a corner and hit wet pavement which resulted in a serious accident. Among the injuries, the Veteran had a broken leg. Unfortunately, there are steps in front of his door at his home and he was unable to get into his home without a ramp being built.
The 3rd & Goal Foundation teamed up with Rick B. in Zanesville, OH to build the needed temporary ramp.
