At the 3rd & Goal Foundation, we’re passionate about helping veterans earn their college degrees. Operation Education provides the resources and support needed to remove obstacles unique to student veterans.

Our programs run at the University of Notre Dame, The Ohio State University, University of Cincinnati, and University of Toledo.

A key part of Operation Education is our Peer 2 Peer program, which pairs incoming student veterans with trained 3rd and 4th year student veterans. Peer sponsors guide new students throughout their entire first year helping with paperwork, housing, navigating campus life, and any other challenges ensuring they have the support needed to succeed. This mentorship has led to higher GPAs and improved graduation rates.

We also fund events within the Peer 2 Peer programs such as academic boot camps for finals week, tailgates, and Veteran Friendsgiving gatherings to help student veterans connect with peers and build community. These are just a few of the ways we create opportunities for veterans to thrive.

Additionally, Operation Education supports student veterans through scholarships awarded throughout the year at participating universities and in the community.
