Founded in 2011 by Brady Quinn, the son of a Vietnam War veteran, the 3rd & Goal Foundation is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of veterans in need through its three pillars: Operation Home, Operation Education, and Operation Joy.
ABOUT THE 3RD & GOAL FOUNDATION
The 3rd & Goal Foundation was founded in 2011 after our founder, former NFL quarterback Brady Quinn, had a life-changing encounter with a group of veterans during training camp. Deeply moved by their stories and sacrifices, Brady called his father that very day and said, “There’s got to be something we can do.”
Together, they launched an effort to help wounded veterans live more comfortably and independently, starting with building wheelchair ramps and remodeling homes to make them accessible. What began as a single home renovation project in Central Ohio has since grown into the foundation we proudly call 3rd & Goal.
Over the past 15 years, our mission has evolved as the needs of our nation’s heroes have grown. While Operation Home remains a part of our mission, we’ve expanded our impact through Operation Education, which supports veterans pursuing higher education, and Operation Joy, which provides hope to veterans and their families during difficult times.
What started with helping one veteran now reaches thousands of veterans across the country every year. At 3rd & Goal, we remain dedicated to honoring and empowering those who have sacrificed so much for our freedom.
