Sometimes the best way to serve is to do little things that help our veterans in need forget about their troubles and remember there are people who care about them. It's what our foundation calls Operation Joy.
The 3rd & Goal Foundation planned a fun night out for a group of formerly homeless veterans. It began with a dinner for everyone. The steak wraps were definitely a crowd favorite. Once dinner was done, the veterans were so excited to load the limo. For many it was their first time in one. When the limo arrived at the Fantasy of Lights the veterans were given the opportunity to do a ceremonial lighting of the brand new military light display. After, the veterans were given a guided tour of the show.
"It is so good now to feel appreciated, to finally feel appreciated, that is so nice," said veteran Reginald.
Special thanks to our friends Piada, Xtreme Limo, and Fantasy of Lights for making this event for our veterans in need possible.
